About Me
Melanie Borrego serves as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in the School of Arts and Sciences at Brandman University. A division of Chapman University and a private, not for profit institution, Brandman University provides online and blended classes to approximately 10,000 adult learners at 26 campuses across California and Washington. In this role, Dr. Borrego is responsible for supporting faculty and students, including assessment of student learning, online campus scheduling, the recruitment, development, and mentoring of adjunct faculty, and General Education program development. She is the Coordinator for the Associate of Arts Degree and the BA in Applied Studies Degree programs as well as the Prior Learning Assessment and Experiential Learning programs.She is also a General Education representative on the Curriculum Team for Brandman’s Competency-Based Education (CBE) BA in Business degree program.
Dr. Borrego has a long-term commitment to supporting educational innovation through participation in such organizations as the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE), Computer Users in Education (CUE), the American Association of Academic Deans (ACAD), and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U).
