Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Phoenix School is a democratic online elementary school in Finland based on a new online study environment, Knowledge Constructors designed especially for student-centered, social, active and inquiry based learning.
Knowledge Constructors was born out of the problem, how to combine mandatory curriculum with unschooling and democratic ideals. Based on ideas from creative thinkers on education like Ivan Illich, John Holt, John Taylor Gatto and many others, the system aims to transform the education systems as we know them into free and open, collaborative peer learning self-study environments.
Knowledge Constructors is ideal for homeschooling groups which need or want to use some kind of curriculum, or want to have a platform for sharing their knowledge. The system can also be used to transform traditional schools into student-centered, flexible learning environments, where inclusion and difference could flourish.
The software has already been presented in both EUDEC 2013 and IDEC 2013.

Hi, Marko! I'm accepting this proposal, just need to make sure it's not a commercial pitch. It does sound super interesting.
