Full Session Description:
When it feels especially important that a child overcome a challenge or navigate resistance, adults tend to get very serious. Things like reading, math, screen time, money management can weigh heavily and we default to a mood of solemn gloom. Serious things call for serious ways of being!
But when the tone of our interactions with young people gets heavy, our good intentions can be undermined. Kids get even more stressed out and our relationships with them erode. They not only feel the stress of struggle, they feel it alone.
In this session we’ll talk about how keeping the mood light is possible even when the task at hand feels very serious, and about how doing so can restore or sustain the kind of relationships we’re committed to having with kids.

I feel this is a really important topic. Children these days, especially in India, have a very 'heavy' life. Humour seems to have left our culture. Lightness helps!
