Full Session Description (as long as you would like)

Students become engaged builders of a new knowledge base and become active, lifelong learners using their own learning styles when allowed the freedom.  They build their knowledge on varying backgrounds and experiences. Children have a broader range of capabilities than they have been permitted to show in regular classrooms with the traditional text-based focus. Project-based learning addresses these  because students must use all modalities in the process of researching and solving a problem, communicating the solutions, and achieving at a higher level than traditionally structured learning.  Technology today optimizes the ability to collaborate whether you are the person facilitating the learning or the learner.  Technology opens a whole new world of possibilities and growth.

Participants will leave with a better understanding of putting problem-based learning and technology to work with learners as well as some concrete examples they can use successfully immediately.
