About Me
My interest in alternatives in education began with reading Summerhill when I was in high school. This interest also led to studying the Montessori Method and then, when I had my own children, to finding that my own ideas were not completely compatible with Montessori. I started a small free school in the 70's and then homeschooled my own three daughters. Our homeschooling style quickly became unschooling -- or was it ever otherwise? I now run my own business, Wildwood Educational Enrichment Centre, where homeschooled kids come to dive into a wide variety of subjects with joy and playfulness and without the stress of assignments, homework or tests. At Wildwood learning is play and we all have great fun.
