About Me
I did a PhD on the discovery of educational alternatives to the mainstream by adults and the life changing moment of realisation this involves. A monograph on this topic is published Nov 8, 2013: Education without schools - the discovery of alternatives (Policy Press, Bristol). I am founding editor of Other Education www.othereducation.or - the academic and alternative community journal of alternative education. I also research the role of silence in education and life.
