About Me
For nearly two decades, I have produced award-winning K-12 guidance materials that are used in school districts around the country. For the past 12 years I’ve been a mom.
Like other parents, I marvel as I watch our children developing nearly as fast as our society’s digital technologies evolve! That’s why the issues around cyber-bullying and digital citizenship are so important to me.
There’s no time to lose. Our kids are the first generation to grow up in a climate where the “virtual” world is actually just as real—and risky—as the real world. Children, tweens and teens need to learn how to navigate cyberspace without compromising their safety, privacy, reputation and self-esteem. The stakes are just too big to ignore.
I am creating a website (www.cyber-ethics.org) which will hopefully become a helpful resource for parents, students and teachers. I'm fascinated by the articles and statistics I find online related to this topic. I hope to make this information easily accessible at my website.
